At El Tiempo Cantina, we make everything from scratch.
From the tortillas to the salad dressings, the salsas to the desserts, we cook all of our food using generations old family recipes.
Our attention to quality and exceptional friendliness is our driving force.
Fajitas as we know them, were introduced to the United States by a widowed mother of five children on Navigation Blvd in Houston, TX, in 1973.
Her name was Ninfa Laurenzo, lovingly known to Houstonians as Mama Ninfa.
Back then, along with the help of her kids, she opened up a 5 table restaurant where the family’s tortilla factory used to be.
Eventually after a rocky start, Ninfa’s restaurants grew and enjoyed an enormous success.
Roland Laurenzo and his sons continued the family legacy and opened up the first El Tiempo Cantina on Richmond avenue back in 1998.
Today, the family continues to serve Houston and Katy with great food and drinks as they learned to do from their beloved Mama Ninfa.
We embrace the challenge of paying attention to the little things constantly.
Every employee is empowered to resolve your concerns regarding our performance.
