Event Description:
Bo’s Place is a non-profit bereavement center offering free grief support services
to children and their families, as well as adults who have experienced the death
of a loved one. We are in need of caring individuals who would like to serve as
Volunteer Facilitators in our grief support groups.
As a Volunteer Facilitator, you will lead support groups for children ages (3 - 18)
or adults. Daytime, evening, weekend and Spanish-speaking volunteer
opportunities are available, as well as opportunities in Katy. Prior mental health
experience is not needed; however, you will be required to attend Volunteer
Training and pass a background check. Serving as a Bo’s Place Volunteer
Facilitator requires a one year minimum commitment.
The training will be held on February 16 and 17 from 9:00am-4:00pm each day. Both days are required. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please contact volunteer@bosplace.org or 713-942-8339 for more information.
